Nautical Contraband is McDaniel¹s first Florida mystery series based on characters from his popular serial fiction featured in Caribbean Travel and "Bahama Breeze". The next book in the Krewe of Jupiter series, Rhumb Line Bend, will be released in late 2005. McDaniel intertwines real-life extraordinary historical events and locations into stories, adding depth to his outrageous mystery trip.
"My love of vibrant and sometimes tacky Florida, Caribbean ruins, and a fascination with the nearly extinct flying boat led me to create The Krewe-of-Jupiter mystery series," says McDaniel.
