"I find that I have your book in my hands a lot -- whenever I find myself in need of explanations."
- Deedee Cowan, Retail Manager, Cave Spring Cellars

In a field that is over-populated with thick coffee table books, a compact and to-the-point reference book is something of an oddity. I wrote this book for my own use originally. After deciding to publish it, I discovered that not only wine fans but winery personal also had a need for this information.

The book is a small (120 page) dictionary of wine lingo -- not the grapes or the regions or how to taste wine -- just the language that wine people use every day when discussing wine. The quote above is not unusual. I often find that the people behind the tasting bar keep a copy of the book behind the counter for reference. They say that it answers all the quesitons that visitors ask.. The book is also unusual in that it outsells all other wine books at the wineries that carry it.

Compact, invormative, easy to read, and priced under $10 ... no wonder this little book is well on its way to best-seller status.
