She conversed with only those she thought worthy and talked to dogs and her guard horse as though they were her friends. Though she was made famous by Pulitzer-Prize winning novelist and distant relative, Louis Bromfield it was simply the life she led that would ultimately create a legend of Phoebe Wise. Her life seemed surreal and her stories are what fiction is made of. Yet, her life was anything but fiction.

This collection of poetry is a must-have for any Christian. With her combination of inspirational poetry and Biblical verses, this would be a wonderful book for a new Christian and it would make a marvelous coffeetable centerpeice for anyone. Each of these poems are masterfully crafted and clearly written from the heart. Winslett uses simple terms to relate her emotion and her love of God to readers.
